As we support you in your journey to wellness and recovery, we would like to take a minute today and wish you LOVE. Love for yourself, above all. In whatever form you like – be it through activities you enjoy, friends who sustain you, or just plain ole’ self love. Just lots and lots of love.

Join us for a CHOW Meeting

HI! Are you new here? Welcome! We’d love to see you at a meeting. Wondering what they’re all about? We got you.

  1. CHOW meetings last 60 minutes
  2. They begin with a “temperature take”, which is an emotional check in to set the room
  3. They continue to an ice breaker exercise, for us to get to know each other better
  4. Sometimes we have a theme, sometimes we roll with the mood, sometimes we hang and chat
  5. Participation is NOT mandatory
  6. Sobriety is NOT required
  7. ALL hospitality and hospitality adjacent professionals and veterans are welcome
  8. Anyone in the world can join our hybrid and Zoom rooms!

CHOW is looking for volunteers!

The Colorado Restaurant and Bar Show is coming up!

The CRB Show connects suppliers with leading restaurateurs, chefs, and restaurant and bar managers. During the two-day event, the top food-service vendors will showcase their products, services, and technologies. Secure your face time with key restaurant industry decision-makers, generate leads, and build brand awareness by becoming an exhibitor!

This event will take place March 8-9, 2022 at the Colorado Convention Center and CHOW will have a booth there!

We are looking for volunteers to help us spread rad materials, chat about CHOW, and just bask in the overall cool vibes with us.

We are looking to fill TWO time slots for volunteers:

9:45-1:15PM

12:45-4:15PM

What’s in it for you?

Well, the pleasure of our company of course, but also:

Access to the general show FOR FREE

Passes for education and demos offered

We are so excited about this event and would love to see you there. If you’re interested in a volunteer slot, please e-mail community@chowco.org to let us know!

Sober Black Girls Online Support groups

A Message from KHADI A. OLUWATOYIN- FOUNDER

“For Black girls who are considering sobriety…this community is for you. In 1976, the late playwright and poet, Ntozake Shange (may she rest in peace), wrote “being alive and being a woman is all I got, but being colored is a metaphysical dilemma I haven’t conquered yet” and even though I was born in 1991, I felt that. Being a Black woman in a patriarchal, racist, sexist society is overwhelming. It’s exhausting. We experience prejudice, racism, and other acts of hatred at our schools, work, and homes – with family members, friends, and neighbors. We encounter high rates of domestic violence, rape, and homicide. We are disproportionately punished in schools, racially profiled, and subjected to police brutality. We are incarcerated five times more than white women and are three and a half times more likely to die during childbirth. We make less than other women in the workspace, regardless of the degrees we have obtained. Our traumas run so deep that we often feel stuck as if we will never find solutions to the struggles we face. So yes, we drink and indulge in other acts of escapism, and if anyone were in our shoes, they would (probably) do so too. I started drinking in college (and “using” after law school) as a way to experience pleasure and cope with unresolved trauma. What was once a social activity eventually became a distructive problem. I created Sober Black Girls Club because I think it is important that we have a safe space where we can navigate pleasure, escapism, addiction, sobriety and the Black experience. Support and affirmation do not need to come from people who share the same race or gender as you, but it is extremely meaningful and affirming when it does and that’s why SBGC exists. So… we are here for you. It doesn’t matter if you are already living a sober life or just contemplating it. I want you to know that you are wanted, needed, and loved. Our struggles do not define us.”

An important message from The colorado restaurant association

How much is ten minutes of your time worth? A thousand dollars? Ten thousand dollars?
How about $26,000 per employee?
Your restaurant is likely eligible for $26,000 per employee in Employee Retention Credit (ERC) funds. And the CRA is making it easier than ever for you to claim yours with our Restaurant ReliefTMprogram.

Restaurant Relief PART ONE: The Easy ERCTM
The ERC is a federal tax incentive for small businesses—but the ERC filing process is complex.  That’s why we’ve partnered with Adesso Capital to serve up the Easy ERCTM. The tax experts at Adesso will expedite your ERC filing with the IRS, handling all the paperwork and tracking the progress on your behalf. The Adesso team has helped restaurants across the U.S. claim an average of $125,000 in ERC funds per filing.

Adesso can estimate how much ERC money you may qualify for in a ten-minute phone call.
Restaurant Relief PART TWO: Express Cash Advance
There’s no need to wait for your ERC money while the IRS processes your filing. You can get an ERC advance loan from Adesso Capital, in which you borrow against your anticipated ERC funds. In as little as two days you can start putting that money to work for your restaurant.

CRA members deserve Restaurant Relief.

Expert, expedited tax filing…instant, responsive attention to your financing needs…this is the kind of VIP treatment Restaurant Relief delivers to CRA members.
Contact the Adesso team at 888-388-5530 (Mon.-Fri. 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. MT) or click hereto start putting Adesso’s team of ERC experts to work for you right now!

Restaurant ReliefTM and Easy ERCTM are both trademarks of Adesso Capital.
