Keeping Colorado Covered

As many of you know, regular eligibility redeterminations for Health First Colorado (Medicaid) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) in Colorado have begun again for the first time since spring 2020 due to the end of the Public Health Emergency. As Medicaid eligibility redeterminations and terminations begin, HCPF and Connect for Health Colorado are working together to ensure continuity of coverage for those who are determined no longer eligible for Medicaid. Individuals who are no longer eligible for Medicaid can start to lose their coverage as soon as May 31, 2023.

Coloradans who get a notice from the State of Colorado informing them that they no longer qualify for Medicaid should contact Connect for Health Coloradoimmediately. As a reminder, Connect for Health Colorado is the state’s official health insurance marketplace and the only place where people can apply financial help to lower the costs of health insurance. Folks who are terminated from Medicaid and CHP+ have a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) through Connect for Health Colorado where they can sign up for a low-cost plan.

We strongly encourage folks to contact a local Assister or Broker who will review all coverage options and walk them step-by-step through the application for free. Virtual and in-person appointments can be made with one of these experts by visiting https://connectforhealthco.com/we-can-help/

You can find more information, outreach materials, and more resources on HCPF’s dedicated Medicaid unwind website page for stakeholders and community partners: KeepCOCovered.com. HCPF also has social media posts and outreach materials that encourage members to keep their address updated and inform them about the Medicaid renewals process: https://hcpf.colorado.gov/covid-19-phe-planning#toolkits

Drink Red, Wear Red for the CRA

Are you ready, Denver? The 2023 Drink Red Wear Red (DRWR) restaurant lineup is here!

This event is Denver’s favorite summer kick-off party and fundraiser, brought to you by the Colorado Restaurant Foundation (CRF) and Colorado Restaurant Association (CRA) Mile High Chapter, which support local restaurant industry employees facing hardship through emergency and mental healthcare grants. (You can learn more here about the work that the Colorado Restaurant Foundation does to support the health and wellness and career development of restaurant workers.)

DRWR will take over the outdoor spaces at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (2001 Colorado Boulevard) from 6 to 11 p.m. on June 8.

The evening kicks off with a VIP reception (6 – 7:30 p.m.) on the Anschutz Family Sky Terrace. VIP tickets also include a selection of elevated wines, access to VIP-only restaurant tastings, a signature cocktail, and the famous “million-dollar view” of City Park, the Denver skyline, and the Rocky Mountains.
