Open Enrollment for 2026 Health Insurance Plans Runs from Nov. 1, 2025-Jan. 15,2026

Health insurance is one of the most important ways to protect your health and your finances. Unexpected medical costs can be overwhelming, but having the right coverage helps ensure that you and your family have the care you need when you need it. Connect for Health Colorado is the state’s official health insurance marketplace, created to make health coverage more affordable, accessible, and easy to compare for individuals, families, and small businesses across Colorado.

Connect for Health Colorado is the only place where residents can qualify for and receive financial help to lower the cost of their health insurance. Last year, nearly 300,000 Coloradans purchased their plans through Connect for Health Colorado. For the 2026 plan year, about 65% of customers are expected to qualify for financial assistance, and more than half of those will have at least one plan option with an estimated premium of under $10 per month after financial help.

Open Enrollment for 2026 coverage began on November 1, 2025, and ends January 15, 2026. If you want your coverage to start on January 1, 2026, be sure to enroll by December 15.

This year, the state of Colorado introduced a new program called Colorado Premium Assistance (CPA) to help reduce monthly costs for households earning between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level. For those who qualify, premiums will be reduced by $80 per month for the first household member and $29 for each additional household member. While CPA doesn’t replace the federal premium tax credits, it can still mean meaningful savings for many families.

When you’re ready to shop for coverage, it’s important to compare plans and providers carefully. For 2026, six health insurance companies are offering medical plans through the state’s health insurance marketplace: Anthem, Cigna, Denver Health, Kaiser Permanente, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, and Select Health. You can also choose from 12 dental plans offered by four companies, plus vision coverage from VSP and EyeMed.

Connect for Health Colorado makes it easy to explore your options. The new online Estimate & Explore tool lets you compare plans, benefits, and estimated costs without logging in or sharing personal information — it’s completely anonymous. Even if you think you just want to renew your plan or haven’t qualified for financial assistance before, you might find new, more affordable options for 2026.

And you don’t have to do it alone. Connect for Health Colorado offers a free statewide network of certified Brokers and Assisters who speak 22 languages. They can answer your questions, ensure you receive the financial assistance you qualify for, and guide you through the enrollment process  — at no cost to you.
