Alexander Skeels
He/Him
I’ve spent over 15 years working in various roles throughout the food service industry. While I’m deeply passionate about the culinary world, my greater passion lies with the people who bring it to life. Having faced my own challenges with mental health, I understand the importance of support and connection. Becoming an ambassador for CHOW has allowed me not only to help others but also to find strength in community. Together, we’re creating a stronger, more compassionate industry—and a better world.

He/Him
My name is Brock and I am a Fort Collins native. I worked in restaurants from 2003 to 2012 primarily in the back of house, although like many of us, I have experience everywhere. I
graduated from Colorado State with a degree in hospitality management and have worked managing primarily grocery store fish, meat, cheese, and deli departments ever since. I have
been in recovery since 2019, and looking back, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to identify when I began suffering from my mental health, but I can pinpoint many instances where I needed more help than I knew how to ask. I heard about CHOW during treatment and couldn’t wait to be a part of the team. I am also a member of Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families (ACA).

He/Him
I have been in the service industry for over three decades, working BOH and FOH, from local pizza joints to fine dining, supply, and systems. Joining CHOW over six years ago was a natural move for me, as I have lived the ebbs and flows of hospitality and experienced firsthand the ways this industry can impact mental and physical health, both positively and negatively. I have been in recovery for over seven years, and working with CHOW alongside my own recovery journey has opened many meaningful paths. I am deeply grateful to share my experience, strength, and hope with others. I reside part-time in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and spend the rest of the year in Cabuya, Costa Rica, reaping the rewards of a beautiful life I feel incredibly lucky to live.
