Schaeffer Ware(he/him)
I entered the hospitality industry over 10 years ago and have both experienced and witnessed the affect the industry has on a person. Until joining CHOW I lacked a support system and didn’t have any tools to give to my peers. CHOW has given me the ability to better show up for myself and my peers. I strive to help provide spaces that are safe and supportive for industry folks as well as bring wellness-focused practices into my workplace to be a part of a healthier hospitality industry.

Brittany Teter(she/her/hers)
My name is Brittany Teter, but you can just call me Teter. I am in beautiful Colorado thanks to my father’s military service and I’ve never felt more at home nestled by these beautiful mountains. I am a friend, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and dog mom.
I craft for fun in so many mediums I can’t keep up. I used to work as a busser, dishwasher, cook, server, and bartender before switching to nonprofit focused work.
I struggled with balance and mental health as I worked in the industry and have found more balance now. I have high functioning anxiety and inattentive ADHD. I have found that leaning on friends and peers has been the best support. I am beyond excited a nonprofit like CHOW exists to support industy staff and veterans of the industry.
