An alcoholic of 26 years and coming from a long line of alcoholics in my family i should have known better. At the age of 21 I had to watch bedside while the doctors turned of the life support on my father (52years old) die and alcoholic death. I was born the youngest of 4 children and the only male. So needless to say I was spoiled. But I was born the child of business parents, a mother how owned a restaurant and a father that was retired Army ranger ex CIA that was in the aviation business. I was raise to become a pilot. My father, born in 1944 was raised in that era were airline pilots were super cool. I had my first flight lesson at the age of 11. Once the high school years rolled around I became more into sports. I played football for a larger well known program in the southeast. I wasn’t the best ever but I was good enough to start for a couple years and earn a 2D scholarship. Half way into my senior year I got hurt really bad (7 surgeries hurt) and my football career was over. So I was left with no plan of my future as a senior in high school. Well besides being a captain of the football team, the cheerleaders, the parting on the beaches and smoking dope. I was very easy on drugs and alcohol before I got hurt because I wanted to be a better football player. Once I got hurt, I had to figure something out. So against my fathers wishes I went into the restaurant world. The drugs, alcohol and party life was very interesting to me. So I choose a career that was based on the party lifestyle and the rest is history. 26 hard years later I survived and given a second chance on life……
